"There was four in the bed....."
I was going to use the title "Keeping them caged" but Marlane came up with the one I used, which I thought was rather good.
The four are Bella and Hetty, of course, and Hendrix and Buddy who we have for the weekend, with Daniel, their father.
In the photograph they are in Daniels bed watching a film, the girls have their own room with bunk beds and there is also bunk beds in Daniels bedroom for when Buddy and Hendrix stay over.
We've been up and down the stairs today moving Christmas decoration boxes, trees, snow globes, and a great assortment of ornaments. So much so that I've exceeded my 7,000 daily steps target without leaving the house, other than going outside to put lights and baubles on the Flowering Cherry tree.
See extras showing the tree and a small portion of the boxes!
It's hard work and we both have sore back, chapped hands and we've only just come upstairs at 22:00 after being up early. The main reason I was up early was that at 06:45 a little voice, at the side of my bed, said "Grandad, I'm hungry". It was Hetty so we both went down to get some breakfast. Bella followed about 15 minutes later. It's been a long day with lots of work but it's looking very good. Only a little bit of last minute stuff to do tomorrow and tidying up, although nearly all the boxes have been put away with the day to day stuff in them, such as photo frames, ornaments that are not festive, non-Christmassy cushion covers and a multitude of other paraphernalia.
It certainly is beginning to look a lot like Christmas.
