I had a Big Day Out today, in a Big City.
I went to Glasgow to catch up with my cousin (and his wife) and then go to a football match with him, his grandson, his son's father-in-law, a concert violinist and a couple of other random fans.
We went to see Clydebank (West of Scotland Premier League) hosting Buckie Thistle (Highland League) in the Scottish Cup 3rd round. Clydebank is my cousin's local team and just a 10 minute drive from his house, but this was his first time there. Mine too.
The sport was fun (a great goal, a penalty and 2 players sent off) and a home win for Clydebank. I enjoy the occasional visits to watch the wee teams in their wee grounds. The social side was fun too.
On the other side of the river Queen's Park beat city rivals Partick Thistle (also in the cup) so my journey home was a happy one.
The Blip is the inter city bus which whisked me back towards my car at the local park and ride. Warm. Comfortable. Relaxing.
