A Shrinking Market
On a glorious Saturday morning in the town square it is sad to see that the monthly Farmers' Market has fewer stalls than when it first opened a few years ago - it is a sign of the times. The supermarkets on the edge of town are busy and local producers have to do a fair amount of business I suppose to meet the rental charge for the stall area --so all in all it's a sad state of affairs.
However I was pleased to find a local Councillor holding surgery at one stall where I could present my view of recent changes - the councillor was receptive and I felt the dialogue was good so that was fine. After my chat I found my wife had been busy at another stall so we came home with some lovely bacon!
