The Caley, formerly Princes Street Station

Fetched a newspaper and milk. Out again to the Thistle Street Post Office, passed by the carousel on George Street, to go to the Macmillan artshow at St John's. The sun was full on the south exposure of the church (in extra) and there was a view of the top of the Caledonian hotel, with the stacked tiny windows in the roof. History

Back by hot chocolate with ginger (Hotel Chocolat; very gingery, recommended) and more chocolate for gifts and for us.

Afternoon walk to Inverleith, by when there was more haze. 14C high and a SW wind. Very pleasant walking weather.
