Peony in full bloom …..

….. ….. ….. from my daughter’s garden. It’s absolutely gorgeous. It’s in a vase on my chest of drawers.

It’s been a very hot day, for the first official day of summer; 28°C in the living room this afternoon.
I managed to get a good draught going through the house so it was manageable.

I’ve had another quiet day, lots of rest going on. I certainly didn’t feel like doing much. Maybe a little less coughing?
I think I’ve probably got bronchitis but have got good medicines for both flu and the coughing.
I’m thankful that it’s not whooping cough, which apparently is doing the rounds in NZ.

My daughter arrived late afternoon and did all sorts of jobs; bless her! She also took Missy for a walk, which I’m guessing was too hot for both of them. Between us we’ve kept everything watered.

Maybe there’ll be an improvement tomorrow!
