Busy Busy Bee!

Trust the typical Welsh weather to return and ruin our plans for the day! We started making our way over to Caerphilly for the "Big Cheese" festival, this afternoon, hoping that the rain would clear for at least a couple of hours for us to enjoy all that the "Big Cheese" has to offer but sadly it became obvious that this certainly wasn't going to happen!! Definitely did not fancy getting a soaking wandering around all the stalls and attractions thats for sure! Such a shame for the organisers when the weather has been soo good for all these weeks!
So in the end, we bypassed Caerphilly and decided on going to the Maenllwyd Inn in
Rudry for a few drinks before heading over to Newport for a friend's surprise birthday party. Sadly, for us, a wedding had taken over the Maenllwyd so we drove on to the Hollybush Inn in Draethen instead. Haven't been there for years!
We enjoyed a couple of drinks there and then headed over to Newport for our lovely friend's surprise birthday party. She was indeed, very surprised!!
Captured this bee in the garden this morning, with the pollen sacs on its rear legs, stuffed to capacity with pollen.
Hope this rain doesn't stay around too long!
