life skills

Life skills is what they teach kids at special school. Really it's just learning how to look after yourself and how to help out around the house. It's just a bit harder for kids with special needs.

We have to practise stuff over and over to learn routines of how to do things that others take for granted.

This was the most amazing thing today....

We have a picnic table in the garden that needed attention and this is my eldest son with a sander. He sanded it down and wood stained it. By himself.... with no instruction or practising.

The table looks great. He is really growing up and spreading his wings.

I am proud beyond belief.
