Davemania
Band of Daves playing the album Hard Day's Night (sorry, Hard Dave's Night) at the Beatles Marathon in Porty town hall. Mo had volunteered to be on the door, and I was taking some photographs, so we were there for most of the whole event.
Really enjoyed the whole thing.
Amazing to think how much the Beatles packed into eight years' worth of albums. And I wonder what they would have thought back in the sixties if you told them people would get together and perform those albums as if they were a kind of folk music.
Stopped at Caprice in Musselburgh on the way back, and the waitress was asking about our night. Once she got past how bonkers the event sounded, she mentioned a couple of things that were a reminder of how The Beatles' music is still a part of younger people's lives.
