My brother in law and his mate lost a close friend to Leukemia recently. They're doing a Coast to Coast bike across Scotland to raise some money for Leukaemia & Lymphoma Research.

They stayed with us on the east coast and planned to take 2 days to get over to west. After they'd dipped their wheels in the north sea I cycled the first 35 miles with them then doubled back east. I ended up doing well over 70 miles. I have a lot miles in my legs but,these days, rarely more than 30 in one go and so It felt like a long way, especially in the hot conditions.
