Buttermere.
I hadn't been to this tree for sometime and so it was a good opportunity to long expose the water around its base. That was the theory, but as you can see it didn't quite work out. It was wild, wet and windy. I hope you can see the tree (positioned in the V,) the rain in 'sheets,' clouds on top of Fleetwith Pike and a sliver of white to the right of the pike. Rivers were high, puddles abound and fields saturated. Herdwick sheep I saw grazed contentedly. Yep, soaked, but a photo showing the day at 9.30am!
