Eating the cakes was time consuming
This afternoon we went to St. Andrew's Church, Welsh Frankton (the next village to me). The clock had been restored after two and a half years of being at a standstill with broken hands and a scratched face.
It is now looking very smart after being renovated with the newly painted face and is working well. It's good to see it back in place and most of the scaffolding has now gone.
We went to the blessing of the clock service in the church and then to the village hall where a tea had been laid on. The clock cakes were the centrepiece of the table which was a great idea and they were very tasty too.
