The Village Christmas Tree

Today I am back down to earth again, but I returned to yesterday's location to photograph the Christmas tree after sunset.  It was taken in colour, but I honestly feel that monochrome conveys a better atmosphere in this scene.

I am coming to better understand that a photograph should be a physical object that you can hold in your hand to appreciate it.  Backlit screen shots are just not the same; here today and forgotten tomorrow.  Looking at people yesterday examine my prints was a valuable learning experience.
