Day 2, wet wet wet at Walla Crag
Despite the name Lowland Leader has no height definition, rather it's about understanding the scope or remit of the qualification.
Sometimes, in urban areas for example, that's easy. But for our volunteers in the Lakes, N Wales or Scotland, where wandering into serious ground is all too easily possible, it's a vital component of the course to teach where they can and can't be. Even more vital is to teach them why and to give them the confidence to make that sort of decision.
Today could have 'just' been type 2 fun, but actually, despite the heavy squalls every few minutes, we laughed all day, shared lots, learnt lots, had a great day. Oh, and we got very wet.
