Lost in space

The photo was taken at the Museum of the Home in London’s east end where we went for a craft fair. This was an installation which consisted of a looping video of colours and shapes on the theme of home life. However -

Something of a heartbreaking day. Check out the extra and then read on.



The man in the extra is my big brother and the woman is his partner, D. She died this morning after a short post surgical illness. The last week in particular has been awful as lung infections took hold and her condition became critical. It has been a shocking time as she was a hugely energetic, creative and caring person who carried on with a zest for life despite suffering from Parkinson’s disease.

I could write volumes but I’m feeling flat and am so sad for my brother in particular. I last saw them when I visited them in Yorkshire in February - how much has changed since then. 

To all of you, hold those you love close. Life is unpredictable. Embrace every day.
