Hi there!
After a very, very lazy morning of internet and cups of tea I went back into the garage with a vague notion to fix the front derailleur on the torpedo. It hasn't worked very well the whole time I've had it. But it sits in a semi-enclosed area and I just couldn't face all that fiddling. So I pumped up the back tyre and cleaned it a bit, stripped off the induction loop which hasn't worked for ages, and called it a day.
After lunch and doing washing I was all for having a nap, quite honestly, but it got dark quite early so I rolled out the torpedo and set off for Mum and Dad's for tea. I haven't ridden it for the best part of a year, not since last Christmas actually. I had almost forgotten just how fast and smooth it is.
Bereft of much to blip, here is Ginger, often luxuriating on the back of a panther. His label says "Chad Valley". This company first started making bears in 1915, and like his chocolate-coloured friend Ginger must be getting on for 50 years old. His paws are a bit worn but his squeaker still works!
