Memorial for victims of 7/7 bombing
Went over to Hyde Park to see the memorial for the victims of the London 7/7 bombings. It is important, very moving, a fine tribute to the people who died and as a memorial it is very unusual to be able to walk through it and interact with it. Which is what got me.
It was fine looking at the columns from a distance, thinking about what happened on 7/7 and being all cool and calm, but as I was leaving I reached out and touched one of the posts and was overwhelmed with a huge wave of sadness which made me burst into tears and left me wandering about trying to get myself together again. Phew. Very intense emotions.
