The Grain

This is a section of the engineered oak timber that will become the floor in the extension and kitchen, probably next week. Currently it's sat in a pile of boxes at one end of the room. It was an obvious goto for the theme of grain on Mono Monday, and I didn't have to do a thing to make it mono.

The electrician has been in all day, and we have power and lights in the extension! For some unaccountable reason, only one of the velux windows wants to respond to the controls. Something for another day now.

This is how my day rolls, currently. The end is coming closer though, and soon the inaugural oven cooked dinner!
