Doune Castle

Camera club day out today and we all jumped into the bus and headed North. A few stops throughout the day.

First was Mugdock Country Park where we saw our first castle of the day. Then off to Doune Castle where this shot was taken from the top of the battlements. Quite a climb up the spiral stair to get to the roof but well worth it for the view.

Then we headed to Aberfoyle for a pit stop and ice cream, before heading to Lock Katrine to see the steamship Sir Walter Scott. Last stop of the day was Callander where Mrs F and I went off for an Italian meal with two of our friends.

Finally the long run back home.
