Marathon Monday
This is a quiet moment in a whirlwind of a day. At teatime, Ruth was showing the boys a video clip of a tree felling. On Mondays she earns some extra money, working with a friend who's a tree surgeon. She enjoys the outdoor physical work, a contrast with the rest of her week.
I started the day early, taking Frieda to school (Marianna is away for work till Tues night). Then it was a quick dash home to meet an electrician who's mending a kitchen light fitting for us. A breather at lunchtime. Then I picked up some prescriptions from the chemist before picking Luca and Eben up from school. Luckily Ruth was home early and she cooked tea for us all. I took Eben to his drum lesson. After that it was a return visit to Jack's, to help with the girls' bedtime. J and I planned tomorrow's tea and I picked up what we need at Waitrose on the way home.
It's a good thing that we all live within easy reach of each other! It's been busy, but it's all gone well.
