Seven decades

My mum & dad, late sixties I think. I've always liked this photo.

My dad had been poorly and doctors had found tumours in his throat & lungs. He was diagnosed with oesophageal cancer on 8 July. The cancer had also spread to his lungs & liver. He was rushed into hospital on Wednesday evening in excruciating pain, with possible pneumonia. However, it seems it was just the disease taking over. He died on Thursday evening, peacefully, with his family beside him.

I'm grateful he is no longer in pain.
