Christmas Lunch at the Golf Club

Today we played our final game for the year followed by a delicious lunch, and the handing out of trophies that were won during the year.
The day started off well, but half way through the wind started blowing strongly which made playing difficult. However my two trips to the driving range were worth it as my game was much better.
Filled with punch and the meal of gammon, fillet and salads, followed by delicious Christmas cake, we agreed that it had been a good year, although sad with some people losing loved ones, and our dear friend D lying helpless with cancer and a stroke. She was sadly missed.
Tomorrow I have to go for a brain scan following the results of that 24 hour ECG monitor I wore a couple of weeks ago. It showed several episodes off atrial fibrillation in the 24 hour period ( I don't feel any symptoms at all) It's evidently to rule out any clots that might be lurking around.....a bit scary but I'm feeling positive that all will be ok.
