birthday for a remarkable man - uncle to my oldest friends.  Capt Walter Godsal RN. One of the few surviving members of the Burma Star Association. I saw him not long ago for a cheery chat. We have one thing in common - we set our clocks a few minutes fast so that the chimes at six remind us to tune in the wireless for the bulletin of news from London. His uncle, Cdr Alfred Gosal, in turn was decorated, posthumously, for his action in HMS Vindictive in May 1918.
