Adventures
My human has promised me that now we are back in St Ives, (on the days that she's not working), we will go off to interesting places and have little adventures together.
She wasn't working today, but (unfortunately for me), she had a lot of things to do this morning, so after I'd had my morning walk along Porthminster Beach, oh and I found the most disgusting manky old ball ever, yay!, I just had to have snooze time while she cracked on with all her jobs.
First............... she had to select 12 photos of me (that she's taken this year) to send to her nephew Jack, so that he can make her a Collie calendar for 2025. Jack has been making Ann, Collie calendars for almost 20 years and whilst it was quite exciting for him, when he was a child, now that he's in his late 20s, she thinks it's become a bit of a chore. But he does it because he's a good little nephew. Thank you Jack xx.
Second.................. she had to decorate our minimalistic Christmas tree. (See extras). She put the tree up on Sunday but didn't get round to decorating it until today.
Third................... she had to power wash our communal walkway. (See extras). Yesterday she spent 2.5 hours scraping all the moss off the walkway, which was a really hard job, and then this morning herself and a neighbour power washed it. It's looking great, but Ann is now aching all over and she's thinking it's because of all the work that she did on it yesterday??!!
By the time we'd had lunch it was 2pm, so there wasn't really much time left to go off on an adventure. Don't you just hate these dark afternoons?
We went to Marazion for our adventure, but by then the tide was coming in so there was only half a beach to play on. I didn't care. There wasn't one single person on the beach so I just picked up a bit of seaweed and ran around all over the place with it. It also felt really cold, (though the temps here are still in double figures) but Ann thinks that's because she was feeling really achy.
I played for less than an hour because we parked in the car park at Marazion (which used to be free in the winter) and is now £1.20ph, but the 'hour' starts when you drive into the car park, because apparently your car reg is being registered by CCTV not at the time you purchase your ticket. (And Ann had sat in the car and replied to a few messages before we got out of the car). Grrrr..... Ann bought our ticket at 14.40 but she had to make sure we were back to the car by about 15.30 so that she doesn't get a parking fine. Grrrrrr............................
…................And that's been our day. Ann is supposed to be going out to line dancing tonight but she's too tired, too cold and too achy.
…............And I asked for early dinner at 5pm, which I gobbled up and then I asked for seconds. My tummy is now full.
Happy Tuesday evening Blippers. xxxx
