Just 10 days ago, the Quad was buzzing at the same time as I was leaving this evening. Today, it was deserted. There is something about the rhythm of life in higher education institutions, which sees them sparsely populated at certain times of the year, which is quite curious. There will be lots of students in the library. In fact, they often queue to get in there before 9am, but much of the life has been sucked out of the buildings now that teaching is no longer going on.
An early start to go and see a colleague who is currently on sick leave. Hopefully the visit by me and a colleague was a help not a hindrance to ongoing recovery. Thereafter to the office for the rest of the day.
Counting down the days to when we can drive north.
