Apropos of nothing, we've just been speaking to a friend who recently emigrated to Cyprus. She bought a new moped over there and was ridden into (by a driver using her cell phone.) With her injuries she had to stay off her moped for a couple of months, and had to have the moped repaired. Now fixed, and injuries healed, she went out for a ride only to then have the moped stolen. Apparently crime in her area is very unusual. She's a former police officer as well, so must be feeling very unlucky.
