Eek!

Just as wel I had a Premium Bond win this morning - the rest of the day was less satisfactory! I had to stay in to wait for the Christmas tree to be delivered. Oh blimey, it was a lot bigger than I expected, especially in terms of bulk/width!
I let the branches unfurl a bit after the guy took the net off whilst I ordered some Christmas presents for the weans, then later in the afternoon thought about at least putting the lights on, but without the stepladder I couldn’t do anything. Frustrating! I’d wanted to have a great tree, but this is just bonkers. A said she’d drop the stepladder off tomorrow, and offered to come and help on Friday but I’ll be in Glasgow.
LE came round after work and she was a trooper…helped me hack some branches off the back and then push it further into the window alcove (managing even when it started to topple!). Much hilarity and chat throughout which cheered us both up, then I did some more prep for tomorrow’s meetings since I have an early start.
