After The Celebrations

The day after Thanksgiving and before St Andrews Day is a day for contemplation and looking ahead.

Today’s entry is rather mundane and shows the sun illuminating the timber lining to one of the original stairs in our home.

The diamond is caused by the shadows cast by the original windows.

The paintwork is the original paintwork applied in 1841. This was overpainted with Church of Scotland which was removed.

I took this particular photograph on my journey from the shower room to the kitchen to prepare breakfast.
