Lights on the forecourt
My leg is slowly getting better. It's still painful on the stairs or when it's been locked in the same sitting position for a while, but after work, I managed to walk to the pub quiz in Wimbledon.
We passed the Christmas tree outside Wimbledon station. It's the tree I looked for a few weeks ago, but it hadn't arrived. Tonight, it was all lit up.
The Alexandra was also very festive inside, with Christmas lights all around. PY and I arrived first; we quickly found our table and ordered the quiz-special dinner (tonight, pepperoni pizza, £12.50 each; they were pretty substantial). The mulled wine that I ordered to go with it was £9, which seemed steep for a small glass. I stuck with Diet Coke for the rest of the evening.
We did well on the quiz, as did quite a few teams, thanks to the others; I only seemed to know a small handful of the answers and only one of the music questions (Boney M, Rasputin). We ended up joint 9th (a prize position) but lost the tiebreak as nobody could recognise the song, and even a few hours later, I am trying to remember what it was.
Previously, I've taken this picture in colour.
