Blue barriers
Blippers will recall the catastrophic flash floods in Spain (Valencia, Castilla-La Mancha and Andalucia) at the end of October in which some 224 people died.
Around our village south of El Torcal there were no deaths but damage to the land, roads and bridges was extensive and is still in evidence as the clean up and restoration is ongoing. Blue barriers erected by the police remain across many roads warning motorists of debris, mud and rocks which were washed down from the mountains. More rain is likely to fall during the coming winter months. Villagers and farmers are working hard and collaboratively to ensure drainage ditches are prepared.
Wide Wednesday's theme today is blue and thanks for hosting Steven.
