first visit

to granddaughter's secondary school for year 7s Award Assembly. I must say it seems everything has been done to encourage the new year in their first term. Not only awards for academic achievements and progress but also for joining in other activities and Form recognition for the one having highest numbers of attendance and pupils being on time.
It was stated that this particular year 7 had had the most awards in the first term than can be remembered.
Our granddaughter had two - bronze for achievement and one of two given to each class for "4C's". reflecting the ethos of the school in caring for others.Are we proud!
