Travellers

Had to nip over to Quedgeley, in Gloucester, to Trophy World to get a friends name and year engraved on an annual award. He doesn't know he's getting it until 18 January when we have the RBL Gloucestershire AGM. It's only a matter of about 5 miles away from our house, which shows you how sprawling Gloucester has become, although the city centre is not very large.
On the way I spotted the travellers camped out on a large grassed area near some residential homes. They've got to be somewhere I suppose and they looked like genuine travellers rather than the more modern looking caravans some use.
There were about 4 horses grazing in rings, you could see a perfect circle around each one where they were tethered and had munched their way around the available grass.
I was lucky that, on the way back, I was in a queue of very slow moving, start/stop, traffic which gave me time to take a couple of snaps.
Quite picturesque really I thought.
