Letting the sleeping dog lie
I had hoped to snap a shot of our outdoor Christmas lights this evening for my blip but the lights were getting blown about so much that we didn’t switch them on this evening. So Bertie rises to the blip challenge yet again, although he is blissfully unaware of this huge responsibility.
It’s been a very sociable day. In the morning we had friends round for coffee. P and A whom we haven’t seen for a few weeks came with the lovely Lucy and not so little Hallie. Blipper Wanderers13 and her husband John came too, bringing a delicious panettoni to accompany the coffee. It seems ages since the six of us have got together so there was a lot of catching up to do.
Later in the day another six of us met to plan the community lunch which will take place in the village hall in two weeks time. Invitations will go out to all the households in the vicinity of Dervaig at the end of this week. Last year we had around 100 mouths to feed. It feels a bit daunting but as long as our organisation is sound it should all be fine. I am full of admiration for those who have taken a lead on this.
