The Tree
Busy day today - earlyish bike ride, then just enough time to have breakfast and get changed then off out again for flu and Covid jabs (opted for both in the same arm)
Went into Asda and picked up a couple of new jumpers then headed home.
I was delighted to see that my sister L has uploaded the video for the Christmas song she’s written - it’s an amazing wee song with a very brilliantly funny video and absolutely sums up my feelings about the Festives (as we’re calling it now it seems…)
So I picked up this wee pop up tree from Morrison’s and put it up. Tootsie has no idea what it is and so far it’s stayed put (watch this space)
This afternoon was the funeral of one of the most genuinely decent human beings I’ve ever known in my life. He was my boss in the first TA unit I was in and I can honestly say I’m a better person for having known him. He died a day short of his 86th birthday following quite a long period of ill health. It was a lovely service by Rev Bob, but an emotional day, especially hearing his youngest son’s tribute. There were a lot of people there that I’ve not seen for very long time so we all had a good chat and shared our memories of him.
RIP Bill
