Showing Affection For Some Collection Direction
Today was just the usual food shop followed by our customary pint but due to heavy traffic and the bridge at Teston still being closed we were unable to get to our usual venue of The Horseshoes and so we had to take our nearest option, The Pippin, off the subs bench for our liquid refreshment requirements.
The sun came out for all of about half an hour today so the inspiration to get outside for some images was pretty limited until I persuaded my somewhat reluctant brother to head out on a local photographic safari and join me on my quest to continue my very occasional closed retail park series just as dusk started to fall.
I managed to get a few images but I just really liked the way the poor light, a bit of fill in flash and, it must be said far too a slow shutter speed caused by completely forgetting to change my camera settings before leaving the house, caused this collection point sign in our local supermarket car park to take on the heightened and almost neon colours you can see in my shot. I even like the rather ghostly looking plants at the bottom of the frame!
