Bylakuppe
I went to the Tibetan settlement at Bylakuppe today, something I've been meaning to do for several weeks now. It's a fantastic place, today's blip is from the main temple at Namdroling Monastery (aka the Golden Temple) and is a 60ft statue of the Lord Buddha (centre) and two 58ft statues of Guru Rinpoche (left) and Buddha Amitayus (right).
I went to the Sura Lachi temple and to the first camp, where I had tea with some locals, and met a local artist called Namgyal. The food here is incredible, I had freshly made momos for lunch.
Unfortunately I have a huge pile of washing and reading to get done before I'm back at work tomorrow - fun, fun, fun!
