London trip to see the Van Gaugh Exhibition
I had heard several reviews of the Exhibition- mostly poor, saying that it was too busy and difficult to see the artwork. Maybe my height (able to peer over others' heads) helped, but I was very impressed. After quite a long queue to get our bags searched, we soon found the entrance to the gallery. I loved seeing the development of Van Gaugh's painting style. Several rooms, all well laid out, with audio guide for those who wanted it. I preferred to make my own way round. I loved seeing the progression in Gaugh's work, using the impasto style to add movement in his paintings. Very inspiring.
Coffee in The Crypt of St Martin in the Fields before we walked past the theatres, through Chinatown to see the lights in Oxford Circus and made our way down Regent Street to Selfriges. A very enjoyable window shop.
