Wound up in Wexford

Hexagons

This morning I went into Wexford to the sewing group - there's a better attendance on a Wednesday morning, but even so, there were only 4 of us.  Afterwards I walked back to the car, via the greengrocer, in driving rain.

in the afternoon I did a bit more stitching, so now the stitcheries are all finished.

Band practice in the evening, and when I got home, whilst drinking a gin and eating a couple of biscuits, I started cutting up printed sheets of ¾inch hexagons for the next stage.  It's possible to buy ready made hexagons, but I haven't actually found a source in Ireland, and in any case, you can download the pdf for free and cut it up yourself.  And after all, the whole point of this hand sewn kit was to slow me down, before production of quilts outstrips wall space!
