Spring in a Box!
These arrived and as it was dry but miserable outside I spent a good couple of hours in the garden, weeding, chopping dead things and emptying pots of dead slimy summer flowers, then washed the pots ready to plant the bulbs in. Well, I only got two pots done as then it started to rain.
I still stayed out though and swept the path and the patio, put all the tools away in their proper place - I often get told off for leaving them lying around in the garden! When I came in my clothes were covered in soil and boots all muddy.
Tonight was another meeting in the Wesley Centre about The Flashes -this was chaired by Hellifield Parish Council, mainly to explain how the system works. There were some people there who are all for a new development.
They are more interested in job prospects than flooding and the environment. I do understand the need for employment but not at the expense flooding and wildlife. Most of those for it are the young folk and the guy who owns the village shop and the chippy - obviously touting for business. Flood plains are there for a reason!
Anyway, that was my day, now we’re just watching old Father Ted’s! I may do some drawing at the same time.
Thanks for all the comments, stars and hearts.
Goodnight ;-)X
