E.B. On the mantelpiece.
I had a fairly quiet morning today after all the activity of yesterday.
After lunch Stephen drove me to the hospital for my Physio session. The physio said I was doing really well, especially as it is only 5 weeks tomorrow since the op.
He had me doing various exercises, which I won’t bore you with explaining.
The main one however involved walking without my crutches in a straight line marked out to the distance he wanted me to attempt, with a long floor length mirror at the end so I could see myself walking towards it. He walked just alongside me.
I was amazed that I could actually make it!
It does feel strange yet as one leg is obviously stronger yet than its counterpart. I did two full circuits there and back!
Came home with more exercises and I was booked in for 4 exercise classes beginning in January, weekly, with others who have had the same operation.
This evening the weather has closed in and is hammering down rain outside. Yet another weather warning issued for another storm coming in the next couple of days. Like my sister said in a WhatsApp earlier, “We were fortunate with the weather yesterday for our drive”.
I’m now off to bed early as I feel tired after all the efforts!
