This is the far end of the pub where it doubles up as cafe for coffee and cakes. The pub is the Queens at Elmley Castle in Worcestershire.

We meet up there with some of the family, three or four times a year, for lunch. Afterwards going across the road to the churchyard to lay flowers and wreaths on John and Rita’s memorial.

The pub was quite busy today and several groups, like us, were having a Christmas meal. Food was excellent but the coffee not so.
