Order of St John
I travelled to London today to attend our Heritage volunteers’ Christmas lunch. The lunch was preceded by a visit and guided tour of the Museum of the Order of St John which is situated in St John’s Gate in Farringdon.
Due to yet another train delay, I missed half the tour but nevertheless it was fascinating as I knew little about the order and its origins in the Knights of St John and the Crusades and how it became the St John’s Ambulance of today.
Well worth a visit of this small but interesting museum.
