Stannies Awards Day

I thought I had nothing on today then remembered it was Stannies Awards Day. 11am to 1.30 pm. A big affair with the Bishop and members of Parliament and the family and friends of the 800+ students all roasted in the very hot venue. Phew. I couldn’t find the family so sat alone. Was thrilled when Max got 7 academic awards. Here he is with his proud parents. 

St Stanislaus’ College is one of the oldest schools in Australia and the kids seem to be getting a great education there. 

Some students did presentations, everything from Grieg piano to drums and choirs. Brilliant performances. I’m still trying to recover as I ran out of pain meds and am really uncomfortable. Bryan took us out to lunch afterwards including Max’s grandmother from Sydney who is up to see the family.
