Not alone

I needed a little nap on my return trip from Corvallis and parked on the parking lot of the Gingerbread village restaurant. When I woke up I noticed that I had had all these little guys watching over me which made me smile.
The day was relaxing with all those hours of driving and the usual very beneficial treatment of my osteopath doctor although the drive into Corvallis did not offer the usual beautiful sights . The temperature was just below zero and a thick fog had developed. Meanwhile at home and at the coast there was a tsunami warning- the first one in all the years that we have lived on this pacific coast. An earthquake of the magnitude of 7 had caused the warning. I called hubby to let him know that he should not go for a beach walk today, but our house never was in danger; the area that was more endangered was 10 miles south of us and all the way to California. He handled all the information well and went inland with the dog.
