Bullfinch with damaged wing tips

I spent some quiet time sitting in a chair looking out through the doorway of our cabin beside the patio. It gives a good view onto the sunflower feeder which has become harder to see from the house after the growth of wild vegetation!

I'd hoped to see a rarer bird, such as the woodpecker I spotted yesterday, or the nuthatches. The light was poor and I had to keep my eyes peeled for birds suddenly appearing on odd branches of trees rather than flying up to the feeder.

This female bullfinch worried me when I saw its damaged wing tips, but it seems to be surviving. I wonder what happened to it. Possibly a sparrowhawk paid a less than friendly visit.
