'Silly puppy jumping up'
Ever since we came back to Cornwall at the end of last week, I've reverted to 'puppy behaviour' and have been doing loads of 'jumping up' at people. Why do you think that is? I'm six years old now. I haven't been a puppy for ages.
Take today, for example. First thing this morning I trekked around on my lead for 40 mins and I met two people I know. I tried doing 'silly puppy jumping up' at them, but I couldn't because Ann pulled me away. Late morning I went down to the beach for a play, and I did 'silly puppy jumping up' at all sorts of random people. Actually, they weren't really random people................ they were dog walkers who we meet regularly, but I don't normally do 'silly puppy jumping up' at them. This afternoon I went into the field for a play and when I spotted my little friend, Pip, I immediately did 'silly puppy jumping up' at his owner. What's that all about then? When Ann went sea swimming with Pip's owner, in the summer, he was always well impressed with how I just lay guarding Ann's stuff until she came out of the sea. Pip had to be tied up. Seriously?! What has gotten into me? Ann says if I continue with this behaviour she's going to take her water pistol out on my walks and everytime I do 'silly puppy jumping up', I'm going to get squished with it!!!!!!!'
….....................And in other news....................... Ann went for an 'indoor' swim this morning (although some of her 'dippers & swimmers' group went sea swimming), she also had a lovely lunch at 'Cintras' with ex colleagues, and was going to pop out this evening for a drink. ….......She's not going to pop out this evening for a drink. It's pouring with rain and the wind is howling. Having said that; her lunch mates are all in their 70s and they all do loads of activities and have a great social life. They say the secret to living a fulfilling life is to stay active and do stuff.
Mmmmmm.............. Ann totally agrees with that. But, she's walked almost 20,000 steps today and the thought of venturing out in horrendous weather for a glass of over priced wine isn't very appealing. She'd rather stay 'home alone' with me, drink a bottle of wine, and watch Coronation Street. Lol!
