Marine craft
I received a message to say that I could have the day off from work today, but there is way too much to do, so I got myself ready as normal and tried to make a dent in my invoices queue.
We finally got to see Diane today for the first time since October. She's been away in the UK - her mum sadly passed away. She stayed on for the funeral and flew back in time for the Rugby 7s, then caught COVID, so we've been waiting until it was safe to meet up.
Al Seef is often on the top of the list, and today, we enjoyed watching various marine craft go by as we drank our Costa coffees and caught up with each other's news. This tug pulling a barge took me back to the time when I worked onsite on the Deira Creek Waterfront Project (1987-1988). Looking at the shoreline, it looks like the Municipality is doing some work in the areas where we built the wall and abra landings.
Back home for lunch and to keep going. I worked until 8 PM. G had stuff to do on her laptop as well.
