West End Lights

I had work today, and I was away early, so I dawdled a bit on the way to arrive at my normal time. I wished I'd rocked up early as there were several big orders as well as normal customers and Claire was glad to see me.

We sold out of sausages within an hour and had to get Brian to pick up an order for more of them and some bread rolls to bring up to the van. It was busy most of the day.

Brian came back to pick me up at the end of the shift as we planned to go to see the West End Lights display around the West Parade area of Lincoln.

It's an annual event that has taken place for several years now. I really like this area. There's a vibrant community spirit around the place. It's not posh but it is nice, with a mix of students and regular residents. There are some lovely independent businesses too. It would be where I'd like to live if we won the lottery.

My Blip shot is a little different from the majority of displays which are mostly in windows (One person covered her car with lights!) This is by the local primary school, St. Faith's. I like the railings behind the tea lights and candles.

Storm Darragh is on the way, so stay safe folks! I'm hoping we will go to a Christmas market in Wragby tomorrow so long as it's not cancelled due to the weather!
