Lady Bird Bug

How a bug could ever by called a bird is beyond me...but I am sure some well educated Brit will fill me in. This little guy came out after the rain fell yesterday. Now, this 'dudu' as we call them, is not read with black dots so it may be a misnomer to call it a lady bird or a lady bug but it sure is colourful!
