Grinch cupcakes

With what we thought was a race on the horizon we set about getting prepared today.

We’ve been out and finished off the Xmas food shop, lots of party food bought and stuffed in the freezer and cupboards and just the last little fresh bits to get closer to Xmas itself.

I’ve baked these grinch cupcakes for Theo’s teams final game before Xmas on Sunday (if that goes ahead) and gave the kitchen a good clean and rejig to set up my new mixer!

Sadly the race has been postponed the latest storm has meant conditions aren’t safe for Day 1. If Theo’s game gets cancelled and day 2 goes ahead and we are able to transfer to it I think that is what we will do, we wanted race conditions and not a training run.

It means a break that hasn’t been fully earned will still be on the cards and then back to the big training next year!
