Pruned

I'm not doing well at keeping up with blipping as the cold has come back with a vengeance. Predictably, S has caught it now. I've barely left the house, although I did make it to yoga yesterday evening. Luckily it was mostly lying down again. So, yet another blip taken not far from home.

S went to the pharmacy to get some medication, now that our faithful nuclear cold deterrent Day Nurse has been banned. The pharmacist was unduly cautious; I inspected the pack of capsules he had brought back and exclaimed, "It's got a picture of flipping plants on it!" It turned out to be a "dietary supplement", probably homeopathic. We were reduced to sniffing hot balsam, the only other product they offered.

In the evening we watched the recent documentary about Powell and Pressburger, fronted by Martin Scorsese, Made in England. It was good, but at over two hours we flaked out before the end and will watch the rest later. P & P do seem to be having a moment -- many of their films are available on streaming services/TV now.
